Sensei Richard Pattison

    Senior Instructor   5th Degree Godan Black Belt

Sensei Pattison began his martial arts training in 1980 in Charlotte, NC, at Ricky Moore’s North Carolina Branch of the American Open Style Karate Association Dojo.

In 1985 he joined the American Free Style Karate Dojo of Fort Mill and continued his Martial Arts studies under Kyoshi Charles Lingerfelt. At that time the dojo was housed in the Leroy Springs Recreation Complex, now recognized as the Fort Mill YMCA at the Complex.

Sensei Pattison earned his Shodan (1st Degree Black Belt) rank in 1989, testing before Kyoshi Charles Lingerfelt and Hanshi Danny McCall. He currently holds the title of Sensei with the rank of Godan (5th Degree Black Belt).
